How Long do the Results of BOTOX® Last?

BOTOX reduces the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles by temporarily inhibiting the contraction of the muscles that cause those cosmetic flaws. The effects of BOTOX typically last for three to six months

Because these muscles progressively regain activity, follow-up BOTOX treatments are necessary to maintain results. Board-certified Knoxville, Tennessee, plastic surgeon and BOTOX provider Dr. Dean Kleto can recommend a treatment regimen customized to your unique condition and aesthetic goals.

The frequency with which you will need repeat BOTOX treatments depends on a number of individual factors, including the area or areas being treated and the severity of your lines or wrinkles. Regular BOTOX treatment can improve the effectiveness of your results, but overtreatment may diminish visible results.

Most patients benefit from follow-up BOTOX treatment within the timeframe of three to six months. After multiple retreatments and as results last longer, that period may be extended.

BOTOX treatment more than once every two months is generally not recommended.

If you would like to learn more about BOTOX or other nonsurgical cosmetic treatment options, please contact Dr. Dean Kleto to schedule your personal consultation. We welcome patients from Knoxville, Sevierville and throughout Knox County, Tennessee.
