How Long do the Results of BOTOX® Cosmetic Last?

BOTOX® results usually last anywhere between four to six months before the effects start to fade. Most of our patients find that they only need to receive injections two times a year to keep their face looking youthful and wrinkle-free at all times, while other patients may choose to come in three times a year.

If you have heavier frown lines, this typically means you have stronger facial muscles, which can limit the longevity of your BOTOX® results. Depending on your needs, you may require a higher dose to effectively remove your wrinkles. This dosage amount can be tweaked and optimized over time as you return for follow-up injections.

If you have particularly deep wrinkles and facial sagging and want to opt for more permanent, long-lasting results, you may want to consider a facial plastic surgery procedure. Otherwise, BOTOX® is a great choice for patients who are looking for a quick, non-surgical method of removing years from their face.
