The end-of-year holidays have ended. Fortunately, Spring Break is just around the corner. For many, this can provide an opportunity to get away from the rigorous responsibilities associated with work or school for some much needed rest and relaxation. However, just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean you should let your skincare routine fall to the wayside.
Whether you are hitting the slopes or headed to the beach, here are some spring break skincare tips to help keep your healthy glow vibrant while on vacation and all year round:
·        Schedule skin care treatments ahead of time: If you’re considering non surgical cosmetic skincare procedures such as injectables, dermal fillers or laser skin resurfacing, be sure to complete the treatment several days prior to your trip, giving your skin a chance to heal before it gets further aggravated by the sun or harsh weather.
·        Apply sunscreen liberally: The sun’s UV rays have been proven to be responsible for 80 percent of facial wrinkles and other visible signs of aging and damage. Using a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 can help prevent damage to your skin. Be sure to reapply every few hours, even if you find yourself on the slopes. The sun’s rays can reflect off the snow, amplifying its effects on your skin.
·        Moisturize frequently: Extreme weather conditions (hot or cold) and the sun can be a dangerous combination for your skin, causing it to become dry, cracked and damaged. Be sure to keep your skin moisturized to maintain your healthy glow.
·        Ease up on acne treatment solutions: Many acne solutions and treatments can leave your skin ultra sensitive to the sun. If you can’t do without them while on vacation, use them sparingly and be sure to use extra sun protection.
