- Wear loose-fitting clothing. We want you to feel comfortable on your surgery day. Wear a button-up blouse that doesn’t need to be pulled over your head. Wear loose, cozy pants that are easy to put on and take off. Remember, you don’t need to be dressed to the nines on this day; you just need to be comfortable and wear clothing that is easy to remove so you can get into a surgical gown.
- Wear clothing that isn’t a hassle. Lots of zippers, hooks, laces, etc., may be inconvenient if you need to undress and re-dress. Similar to our first point, we encourage you to dress loose and comfy for maximum convenience.
- Bring a warm sweater. Sometimes patients get a little chilly in plastic surgery offices. Bring a sweater just in case.
- Wear warm socks. You will probably be asked to remove your shoes for the exam. Warm socks will keep your feet nice and toasty.
When it comes down to it, it’s important to wear an outfit to your consultation in which you feel the most comfortable. There really are no right or wrong clothes to wear, but we do want to provide you with these tips to make sure your experience is a good one. Ultimately, the most important part of your consultation is to make sure you ask all the questions on your mind, express your concerns, and get the information you need in order to make a decision.
